At Hear for Less, we know that enjoying your favourite hobbies like watching television or listening to music, podcasts, and audiobooks can be difficult when you have hearing complications. But why should you miss out on the entertainment you love when Audeara headphones can help you to achieve incredible audio clarity?
Audeara’s innovative technology lets you calibrate the headphones to your personal hearing profile using the Audeara app, adjusting the settings for each ear to ensure a perfectly balanced sound. This gives you room for complete customisability, without having to visit an audio specialist.
Not only do they allow seamless streaming from smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth, but the noise-cancelling functionality also helps to block out ambient sounds around you, enhancing what you actually want to hear and reducing what you don't.
From movies and music to phone calls and virtual meetings, Audeara headphones improve sound and speech clarity by tailoring the audio to your needs rather than just turning the volume up - it’s not like your standard hearing device.
The Audeara headphones are perfect if you make a lot of online calls for work, as you can connect them to your phone, tablet, or laptop. With the Audeara app, you can personalise your settings to block out the background noises of the office and focus on what really matters.
At Hear For Less, we understand that every individual hears differently. It’s very common that the right ear might be stronger or weaker than the left, and vice versa, which is why Audeara’s clever designs make sure that a smooth and clear audio experience is possible for everyone - regardless of their hearing ability.
Fed up with not being able to follow the storyline of your favourite TV programme, or missing the winning answer on a quiz show?
With Audeara headphones and transceivers, you can say goodbye to turning the television up during quiet conversations just for loud music or action effects to thunder through the house a second later!
No more inconvenience for yourself or others watching TV with you, having to constantly reach for the remote control to turn the volume up and down - with our range of specialist aids, you can watch films as a family again, with no danger of arguments over how loud it is.
The Audeara TV/Stereo Transceiver can turn analogue televisions into Bluetooth streaming devices, so you can receive TV audio in your Audeara headphones, which is perfectly adjusted to your individual hearing profile through the app. With just a quick click of a button, you can alter the volume to whatever you need at that time - you’ll struggle to find such an easy-to-use hearing device elsewhere.
One of the best things about this brand is that you can link up devices. Up to 2 pairs of Audeara headphones can connect to the transceiver at once, so both users can enjoy watching television comfortably at a volume that’s appropriate for each individual. The Audeara TV transceiver is available to buy on its own, or together with a pair of headphones in our Audeara Bundle.
These Audeara over-ear headphones are extremely comfortable to wear, even if you have hearing aids or Cochlear implants. They offer a long battery life to keep you entertained for more than 30 hours in between charges, so you never have to worry about them running out during your favourite film scene.

We’ve also compiled the answers to some common questions about the Audeara headphones and matching transceiver below, so please do read our FAQs for more information about the benefits of these devices and how to use them properly.
Audeara A-01 headphones are very versatile. You can use them as standard wired headphones with an auxiliary audio cable, connect them via Bluetooth to your phone and the BT-01 transceiver to watch television, or switch on Active Noise Cancelling to shut out sound altogether.
The built-in microphone in the headset also allows you to make and receive phone calls, so you don't have to worry about missing calls while wearing the headphones when they're connected to your phone.
Whether you use them in your own home or while travelling, these headphones are sure to improve your quality of life. From a full charge of 6 hours, your Audeara headphones can last up to 60 hours, or an average of 30-35 hours when Bluetooth is switched on.
It’s easy to control the volume and play, pause, or skip using the buttons positioned on the left ear cup.
The headphones have a clean and classic matte black design, made with sturdy aluminium and soft faux leather, plus a cushioned headband for extra comfort. You can securely fit them to your head using the sliding adjustment feature.
These premium headphones are also provided with a compact hard case and a microfibre bag of accessories, so they’re easy to pack away and take on the go.
They don’t have a Telecoil setting for hearing aids, and the volume in each ear cup can’t be controlled separately, but the Audeara app allows you to complete a personalised hearing profile to automatically adjust the audio and balance the sound in both ears.
You can read more about this in the Audeara app FAQ below.
The BT-01 transceiver is sold separately or in an Audeara Bundle with the A-01 headphones, designed to connect up to 2 pairs of headphones to make watching television easier for the hard of hearing.
The transceiver accepts audio from the TV via an optical or analogue cable and transmits it to the headphones via Bluetooth signal.
To set up the transceiver, plug it into a power source with the Micro-USB cable, then connect it to your television with the AUX or optical cable.
Plug one end into the transceiver’s ‘audio in’ port and the other end into the ‘audio out’ port usually found on the back of the television. Using the optical cable is recommended for the best sound quality.
Flip the TX switch on the back of the transceiver to put it into transmit mode, then hold down the middle button on the left of the headphones for 3 seconds. The LED light should flash blue and red.
Hold the switch at the front of the transceiver towards the Bluetooth symbol until it also flashes. This means the devices are connecting – when the connection is stable, the LED lights will stop flashing and remain blue.
If you’re using an AUX cable to connect the transceiver to the television, the light on it will be green.
The Audeara transceiver is compatible with most televisions. There’s no pass-through function, so it must be plugged directly into the television.
You may need to adjust the TV settings to allow audio to play through two outputs. To personalise the audio experience, download the Audeara app on your smartphone and connect your Audeara headphones.
When you receive your Audeara headphones, you should first plug them in to charge for a few hours. The red LED light will turn blue when the headphones are fully charged.
While you wait, download the Audeara app on your phone. It’s available in the App Store on iPhones and the Google Play store on Android phones. To run the Audeara app, your phone must be running on at least iOS 9.3 or Android 4.4, with a minimum version of 4.2 for Bluetooth.
When your headphones are charged and ready, unplug them and turn them on using the switch on the left cup. Press the middle button on the left cup down for 3 seconds to trigger pairing mode and go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone.
You should see ‘Audeara A-01’ on the list of new devices – tap on this to connect the headphones to your smartphone. You can now stream audio to your headphones via Bluetooth.
Before you start using your headphones to listen to music or audiobooks or to watch television, take the hearing profile test first. This will analyse your hearing needs so you can adjust the settings accordingly.
There are 3 levels of testing, all of which involve listening to a series of beeps and moving a slider to answer how well you can hear each tone.
When you tap ‘finish now’ at the end of the analysis, it will apply the appropriate personalisation to your headphone settings. You can adjust the level of personalisation between 0 and 100% to find what’s most comfortable for your ears.
Your hearing profile is safely stored in the Audeara app and will tailor your hearing to these levels until you go back into the app and change them. You can re-take the hearing profile test as frequently as you like to monitor any changes in your hearing.
You’ll need a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection on your phone to take the hearing test and update settings in the app. You must switch on Bluetooth connectivity on your headphones when you want to use them with the tailored settings.
Yes, it’s possible to take phone calls while you’re wearing the headphones and they’re connected to your phone. Your phone will override the transceiver as the ‘dominant’ device, so you’ll hear the phone ringing in your headphones.
You can either accept the call on your actual phone, without having to remove the headphones to talk, or press the middle button on the left ear cup to answer.
Similarly, you can either decline the call on your phone or let it ring out, but this can be irritating to hear in your headphones.
If you don’t want to be disturbed by this while using your Audeara headphones, you can turn off the Bluetooth connection. Unfortunately, this means the headphones won’t be able to connect wirelessly to the Audeara transceiver, so you’ll need a wired connection.
On average, from a full charge, the A-01 headphones will last for approximately 30-35 hours with both Bluetooth and Noise Cancelling switched on. If you use Bluetooth only, it can last up to 40 hours, whereas using Noise Cancelling only (no Bluetooth or audio) can last for 60 hours.
You can use them as wired headphones via the auxiliary cable to conserve the battery by switching off Bluetooth if you don’t need to use it. The more features you use, the faster the battery will drain, but you can keep an eye on the charge level next to the headphone icon on your phone.
When your Audeara A-01 headphones need charging, they should make a beeping noise. This means it’s time to plug them in to charge using the micro USB charger that came with them. They can take 6 hours to charge fully from a dead battery, which can last through 500 charges.
You won’t be able to use the headphones while they’re charging, so always charge them up ahead of time if you know you’re going to need them to prevent disappointment.
If you tend to be forgetful about turning the headphones off and find yourself often draining the battery this way, you can set a standby timer in the Audeara app. The timer will make sure that the headphones turn off automatically after a period of inactivity.
