Yes, the NDIS has set about certain restrictions in order for NDIS Participants to achieve their basic goals. i.e Android Tablets are not meant to be purchased for the likes of gaming, watching movies and so on.
In the case of Android Tablets for telehealth and care or participating in online video classes, advice from AT specialists is that most NDIS participants will not need more than a standard tablet, which costs no more than $600. This budget can be stretched up to $750.
Both require a support letter, however, the higher budget must include a detailed letter from a health professional as the increased requirement.
